Bumble is more aggressive with the number of free likes and they are focused on getting users to buy a premium subscription rather than allowing the users to enjoy their free version a little more.
Bumble provides users with 25 free likes and once that limit is reached, you’ll be locked out of the app for a period of 24 hours. You are then presented with a purchase screen for buying a premium subscription to continue swiping. In total, Bumble has a right swipe limit of 25 likes per day.
After the 24 hour wait period is over, your Bumble account is unlocked and you can get back to swiping. The 25 likes limit is not usual for Bumble because some time back they allowed unlimited likes for users and the quality of profiles on the app was really good.
However, their revenue was going down which is why they have gone really aggressive with their paid subscription model. This did increase their revenue but now they’re losing a lot of users and the quality of users is also going down.
