With this impressive triple-double, Clark became the first player in NCAA Tournament history, regardless of gender, to record a 40-point triple-double.

The junior also made history by becoming the first player in Division I women’s basketball to record over 900 points and 300 assists in the same season. Clark’s stunning performance helped her team secure a place in the Final Four, marking just the second appearance in the program’s history.

Despite the loss, Hailey Van Lith impressed for Louisville, putting up 27 points in the defeat. Iowa’s next opponent in the Final Four will be the winner of the game between No. 1 South Carolina and No. 2 Maryland on March 31 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
